About FundVersus

FundVersus compares funds and companies using the documents they file with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Every expense ratio, holding, return and financial figure on the site comes from a filing, and every page links to the filings behind it.

The site covers ETFs, mutual funds, money market funds, closed-end funds, exchange-traded commodity and crypto trusts, and companies listed on US exchanges. Comparison pages set two of them side by side. Rankings order them by one stated measure, such as cost or size.

What FundVersus is not

FundVersus is not an investment adviser or a broker-dealer, and nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold a security. The site does not know your goals, taxes or circumstances, so it does not say which fund suits you. It reports what filings say, computes a few measures from them, and explains how.

Who runs it

FundVersus has one editor, who approves every change to the data pipeline, the page templates and the research published here. The editorial policy covers independence and how errors are handled, and the methodology explains how each figure is produced.
